How does a death in the family effect Binge eating disorder?
My whole life I was very skinny and had a normal diet- never watched what I ate, but never ate too much. I was just normal. When I was 17, my 24 year old brother died of a heroin overdose. I wasn't close with him the past year of his life because my father kicked him out of our house and I was told to not contact him. But about a month after my brother died, I had gained a couple pounds (from not running due to a hip injury) and I decided to start restricting calories to lose weight. But that VERY quickly turned into non stop, obsessive binge eating and now, almost two years later, I still binge eat almost every single day. I have gained 20 pounds and no matter how badly I try to stop binging, no matter how much I stare at my fat rolls and hate my body, it isn't enough to stop me from binging. I can just NEVER ever be satisfied. How does a death in the family effect binge eating disorder? How can I stop? I've been to 3 different therapists and nothing ever helped, I've wasted a couple thousand dollars in therapy and refuse to spend another penny.
