Very first tip of Weight Loss Diet - Get control of runaway diet habits because that lead to weight gain, low energy & poor health. Dieting is never the solution for Weight Loss.
"Diets" don't work. To have lasting results, you have to make real changes in your eating habits - you develop a new way of eating instead of just "going on a diet".
People should always prefer a Dietician or Nutritionists for weight loss diet or weight loss program then only you'll work closely with a Personal Dietitian to reach your weight loss goals.
One of the most important reasons to lose weight and to maintain a healthy body weight is for your health. Excess weight is associated with high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and triglycerides, type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, certain types of cancer, and other diseases.
High blood pressure is called "the silent killer" because it doesn't have recognizable symptoms. Eating foods high in potassium and changing your "salt shaker" reflex can help lower blood pressure. And, if you are overweight, losing as little as 10 pounds can have a positive effect upon blood pressure.
It is hard to get good diet results without a complete plan which gives you the fine tuning to your body. A great diet plan is not going to do you any good unless you're willing to follow it. That's why your Personal Diets plan considers your lifestyle, your eating habits, and your goals.
A good Dietician helps you in deciding what to choose for your weight loss diet and you'll learn how to make healthy, delicious food choices that are practical and easy to prepare that match your taste preferences, you'll discover what your body needs, how to burn fat not muscle and many more.
Safe, effective Weight Loss Diet program considers your health, weight goals, & nutritional needs and a personal, professional attention from a dietician & nutrition expert, you get in any Weight Loss Diet Program.

What is an effective healthy diet for weight loss?
I am close to 40 yrs of age. I have been overweight for most of my life. I have never ate alot, but I must admit, that I am a pop fanatic and periodically will splurge on chocolate every now and then. My food intake is less than my kids all the time. And the kids are in great shape, very tone and slim. I really don't have an apetite most of the times. When I eat, I likely skip breakfast, because I am never hungry in the morning before 10am. Sometimes I don't eat lunch. if I drink a soda, I get full very easily. Dinner. I will eat a nice dinner each day, that includes veggies, startch and meat. I love fish and most of the time my dinner includes some type of fried fish. Does anyone have any ideas or daily diets that are effective. The most I have ever lost was 30lbs within 2 months, but normally when I do this, I am not even on any diet! Any constructive and mature ideas or input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thank you all for your feedback. I find it interesting that my eating habits are the exact opposite of what I need. I will keep your answers as references to keep me going until I master the idea of healthy eating and exercising. It is hard to adjust to new habits when a lifetime of bad habits have been your only source. I am determined to loose weight healthy and will try all techniques listed below. Thanks Everyone again! :)

High Carb Diet for weight loss and fitness?
Everything I read pushes the high protein low carb diet. I just joined Farrell's Extreme Body Shaping which has worked wonders for a friend, but I am concerned about the diet they gave me. The diet is based on my body weight and fat % from a computer program. The diet says I should eat 21 to 28 g of protein per meal and 51 carbs per meal. I understand the number of meals and all the rest of the plan, I am just confused about the high number of carbs a day. Your thoughts?
If you are not familiar with Farrell's I am working out with them doing Kickboxing, resistance training, stretching, and diet. So this isn't a fad diet program. They stress eating good quality food. My concern here again is ONLY the number of Carbs to protiens. Thanks for you help.
