Most people in Westernized countries have become desensitized when it comes to reality in many aspects. Unfortunately this has become the way of the land everywhere the Western culture has touched. The inability to delay gratification is one of the three hallmarks of Western consumerism and it has touched the lives of millions when it comes to weight loss as well. When it comes to healthy fat loss, this too evades a very high percentage of Westernized peoples. So let's look at American one of the most popular methods, the silver bullet - better known as pill-popping for weight loss and dieting.

Healthy Fat Loss - The American Way...

Western folks have been conditioned, mostly through the Mass Media, into believing that healthy fat loss comes in diet pills. The pharmaceutical industry makes up about one-third of all direct-to-consumer advertising today - all pushing chemical illusions of convenient easy-buttons that promise slim, lean figures!

Yes! this can even be done eating as much as our appetites desire! Many such advertising purports that lifestyle change is not necessary - or is simply not mentioned. Commercial advertisers use imagery intended to act as anchors making folks believe that these so-called healthy fat loss pills are going to make our bodies like the figures we see in the advertising! Wake up America!

Why Pill-Popping Is Not Healthy...

There is no silver bullet nor any big red magic buttons either. In reality (as opposed to television ads) they do not exist! Healthy fat loss does not consist of dieting by way of pills and crash diets! Sure nutritional management is involved with healthy fat loss, but despite the so-called ″clinical studies″ and ″Doctor-recommended″ preparations, these instant fixes are not healthy for you at all!

Why are these methods not healthy? They stress the body. They are unnatural. The body is not made to undergo such rapid weight loss. The side effects from chemical-based pills cause other health issues. Weight loss must be done gradually and the simplicity of traditional methods remain the safest, most effective means to achieve these goals.

What Exactly Does Healthy Fat Loss Entail?

Change of lifestyle. Effective and healthy fat loss does not happen overnight. Nor was Rome built in a day, it certainly did not fall in a day either! It is mastery - not to be confused with instant gratification! Healthy fat loss requires eating the right kinds of food and eating them in the right amounts - a definite change in lifestyle!

Secondly, effective fat loss depends on being active, not sedentary, not laying around on the couch watching television or playing video games. Begin exercising by walking every day. Americans walk on the average of one-tenth of a mile a day compared to the four to ten miles a day by many other cultures worldwide.

Good old fashion healthy results equate to good old fashion wight loss techniques! There is no silver bullet here! Most very large weight loss programs are really not interested in your success. They want you to stay fat so you continue to be a repeat customer! The very best healthy fat loss programs are those that are modeled after the older, highly effective methods!

Healthy fat-loss methods?
I'm 14 years old, 5'4" and 105 lbs. I'm comfortable with my weight, and I eat pretty healthy, but I have belly and thigh fat that i'd like to tone. Any recommendations for exercises or diets? Please bear in mind that I can't afford gym memberships, and there's 3 feet of snow outside for another several weeks.

Suggestions on losing weight/inches?
I need to get rid of some fat on my legs and on the sides of my stomach. Need help. I am currently 128LBS, 5ft 5inches tall, pants size is 7. I kind of want to get down to a size 4 or 5 possibly. So if I burn about 400 CALORIES a day. Will that work? Also my excercise plan was this... 20minute RUN (154calories) 50minute BRISK WALKING (193 calories) 15 minute (STAIR MACHINE) (87 Calories) Any suggestions? Tips? Can anybody give me a basics for fat burning fruit diet? I heard it works and want maximim healthy results.?
Not freaky messed up weight loss, but natural healthy fat loss without losing too much muscle. Though a little muscle loss won't matter because i can build muscle really fast, its just covered up by fat.

How long to get to 23% body fat?
Over the past week I've been doing all over strength exercises for 45 min 3x/week and eating very healthy and have lost 3.2lbs and 1.5% body fat. I am now 136.2lbs with 31.1% body fat and would like to get down to 120-125lbs with a body fat of 23%. Starting Saturday I'm going to run for 3 miles 4x/week. I am an 18 year old girl. Btw i know 1-2lbs per week is a healthy weight loss and .5% body fat is a healthy fat loss per week, but seeing how much I've lost in the first week and how high my body fat percentage is now, how long should it take me to get to my goal of 23% body fat and what are some other things I can do to get me there faster?
