Wham! The headlines hit hard across the evening news. Ephedra Tied To Pitcher's Death. I couldn't believe it. Orioles Pitcher, Steve Bechler, a 23-year-old athlete in his prime, was cut down by a drug found in many diet pills at the time. Yes, it is true that there are extreme exercises that are not natural and healthy. If you have seen pictures of a tri-athlete they look like walking skeletons because they push themselves so hard. They cannibalize there own muscle tissues to make up for the energy deficits in their bodies. For most of us, a good rule of thumb is to take the number 220 subtract your age from that and then do exercises that will elevate your heart rate to that number and keep it there for 30 minutes. Do this 3 times a week at a minimum. For example, if I am 45-years-old, I would calculate 220-45= 175 bpm. I would then find an exercise that I liked and use it to get my heart rate up to 175 bpm. and keep it there for 30 minutes. I would do this 3 times a week or more.
Step 3: Natural Healthy Fluids
Drink 8 glasses of water a day. If you want to go thermogenic make them 16 oz. Glasses of ice water. Do not drink things that contain sugar, or corn syrup.
