Maintain Healthy Weight - Ideas For Maintaining Healthy Weight
Health is very important in every individual's life. What if we have a lot of wealth but not health? Nowadays owing to sedentary jobs, junk food habits, people are prone to Obesity which is like an endemic burgeoning the globe. The answer to Question why is it important to maintain healthy weight? is to avoid falling prey to various diseases like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure coupled with high cholesterol and hormonal problems.
Maintaining healthy weight means not being slim and starving your stomach; but eating in a timely manner and doing some amount of exercise so that your body breathes. This article gives a glance as to why to maintain healthy weight and how to maintain it.
When we see a person with excess fat in the belly and walking heavily, we tend to pity him or else think that, such situation should not befall us. We also feel bad when we see a person on the hospital bed, people helping him even to attend nature calls. Ironically, it is also strange to see a slim person getting exhausted over a few miles of walk. Healthy weight is that number of pounds of a person which help him/her to do the days work without any exertion. That person is also cheerful at the end of the days work and feels more energetic. Maintaining healthy weight allows a person to dress the way he/she likes and gives a presentable look about you in front of the society and the person feels comfortable and confident.
But in the process of maintaining healthy weight, people generally fall into the vicious circle of too much stress on weight. For example, a person wants to eat some food of his/her liking but then become conscious about weight and stops that idea of having it. Or else, if they ate some cuisine of their liking they tend to exercise more or starve themselves for 3 to 4 days. Not having the food of your liking also increases the person's weight.
The points given below explain how to maintain healthy weight.
Point 1: Take a balanced and nutritious food. Most have the habit of skipping early morning breakfast. Your body is at rest for 8 to 9 hours in the night. Since your stomach is empty for that many hours, it needs to be filled for pulling on your day. By keeping it empty your body becomes cautious of starvation and in the process of acquiring food, it increases the stored fat and as a result you become obese. In the process of maintaining healthy weight, the first formula is not to skip breakfast!! Whatever you have, eat it timely and limitedly.
Point 2: Take some time from your busy day to do a good amount of exercise. By exercising, you are giving your body the energy to stay fit. Most people also do too much exercise for maintaining healthy weight and become victims of arthritis or other health related problems. Too much is always dangerous. Doctors recommend 15 minutes for daily exercise and 2 to 3 hours during a week. Extreme stress also is one of the reasons for increase in weight. Practicing yoga and meditation is the best remedy for taking out stress and thus, maintaining healthy weight. Meditation gives your mind the needed rest, refreshes it and increases its efficiency. If a person's mind is fit, then his body is also fit, maintaining healthy weight.
Do not go on a crash diet. For reducing your weight, consult a doctor regarding a person's height and weight chart and also measures to be taken to reduce overweight. Being healthy is in the person's hands. The love and care which your family members shower on you is the best answer as to why it is important to maintain healthy weight by you. As a family member when you are healthy, you give a better life to your kids and spouse; you become an active member in your official life. If maintaining healthy weight is so advantageous, then why should you not do so?? Maintain healthy weight and give a healthy future to the next generation!!!

Exercise Plans? Flat Stomach? Beach Soon? Any Suggestions?
I'm going to the beach at the end of May and I have some jiggle and poking out in my belly that I want to get rid of. I'm 13, 5'3, and 122 pounds. And don't say that's a healthy weight. I'm not trying to lose weight everywhere just in my mid section. I have gym only 2-3 times a week and we don't do much running or anything. So I was planning to start running/ jogging about 20- 30 minutes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and do about 30-45 sit ups every morning and night. I'm also planning to build up the amount of time I run as I go along and repititions of the sit ups I do. Will this tone my stomach by June? And if not, can you help me improve my regime?

I'm not hungry, but I can't stop eating. What do I do :( ?
I've had a problem with food more than half my life, since I was 7, and now i'm 17. I have always loved greasy, fatty, sugary, salty foods. All the ones that are bad for you.
In the past few months, I have developed a binge eating disorder. (I'm still trying to lose my last 10 pounds) If I try really really hard to resist a bad type of food, and fail, I will lose it and eat EVERYTHING. And I can't stop. It's taking such an emotional toll on my confidence, but i've tried so hard to stop but I just can't. None of my plans to stop work.
I can't ask my parents to send me to a therapist because i'm too ashamed, and I don't think they would take it seriously since i'm at a healthy weight right now (140 pounds, 5'7). The only reason I haven't gained a considerable amount of weight is because I go through days of eating healthy and going to the gym, but then days of eating fast food like 3 times in one day. It's complete inconsistency and I just want to lose these last 10 pounds but I manage to just sit at the same weight because of my detrimental eating habits. They are not healthy or normal and I need someone to give me advice or a plan on how to break this sick addiction. I'm so depressed with my choices but I don't know how to change them?
I was addicted to smoking weed (don't say it's not addictive, anything that reacts with your brains seratonin is addictive, and i've experienced it) for 2.5 years, and it was really hard to quit, but I managed to quit almost a year ago. And quitting weed was 10000 times easier than this. HELP :'(

I need to gain weight apparently?
A brief explanation of what is going on. I am a 14 year old girl, 4 foot 11, and weigh 95 lbs. I have been recovering from anorexia for the past year. I have gained 15 pounds, and I thought I was finally at a healthy weight. But my therapist wants me to put on more because she says I am still underweight. I find that very hard to believe. I haven't gotten my period and haven't grown in two years. Is she right? Please no cruel comments, I just want to hear some other opinions.

How much weight do you guys think i'll lose?(10POINTS!)?
ok, im 13, 5'2, and 120-121lbs. i know i am at a healthy weight now, but my goal was to get to 105lbs, but then i realized i may be too thin if i get to that weight so i want to be 105-110lbs, ill stop trying to lose weight and start trying to maintain my weight when i get to a size that i'm comftorable and confident in((:.
so i recently decided to become vegan. not just to lose weight, but i love animals an dont like how theyre treated, i feel kind of sick and 'worn down' when i eat meat, i feel better not eating any meat or animal biproducts. so, heres what i'm thinking of my everyday "diet"
breakfast- oatmeal, soy milk, and half a banana or apple or something, (150-230 cals)
lunch(12:00)at school- well i cant bring a lunch , lots of reasons. so im stuck eating at school. so ill have fruit of some kind.
lunch- now i wa thinking about having a late lunch/snack when i get home from school(3:30)- salad, lettuce(however much i want), and 3-4 tbsp's of sugar free raspberry vinagrette.(2 tbsp are 5 cals.) ... (about 25-60 cals).
snack- an apple or a small handfull of nuts. (5:30). about 80-120 cals.
dinner- some kind of steamed veggies. and every monday, friday, and wednesdays a veggie burger on a wheat peace of bread with mustard(about 260 cals) for proetein.
ill also take vitamin B-12 every morning, and a multi vitamin.
excersize- fast jump roping for 15 mins, then fast dancing for 15 mins 5x a week, and also 5x a week pushups, squats, and crunches every night.
how much weighy do you think ill lose in a week?month? how long will ot take to get to 110lbs?
thankyaaaalll. (:

these guys in school keep touching my breasts and i can't get them to stop. any advice?
I'm a 14 year old girl in middle school. Whenever i walk in the halls at school, some guys come up to me and touch my breasts. When i start to cry, they start to laugh at me and i run away. My "friends" always think that i'm weird because i cry and they tell me to stop crying because they apparently do it because they think that it's funny when i get so upset. People always ask me if i stuff my bra because i have larger breasts than a normal, healthy weight 14 year old.
The biggest reason that i get so upset is because When i was 8 years old, i was raped at my friend's house during a sleep over by her father. This was very scarring and i think about it everyday of my life. When they touch me like that, I remember the way that he used to take me into his office and touch me before it happened. I haven't told anyone about this.
The reason that i don't tell the office or anything is because i have a social anxiety disorder. That means that i don't take it well at all. I know it's a little messed up that i actually care if they are mad at me but whenever i go to the office and try to tell, i just can't bring myself to do it. This is seriously mentally screwing me up and i'm in desperate need of advice. help me please?
