  • Eat foods that are low in fat naturally such as the whole grains, fruits, and green leafy vegetables.Eat plenty of fiber rich foods such as bran, dry peas, beans, cereal, and rice.

  • Prevent food that are deep fried foods, processed and highly prepared baked goods.

  • Limit the intake of animal products like eggs (yolks), dairy products (cottage cheese, whole milk, cream, and ice cream) and fatty meat products.

  • Always look at the food labels particularly the amount of saturated fat. Avoid foods that have a high amount of saturated fat.

Do you start to starve yourself jus to have a 24 inches waistline, a thinner arms and a nice hips? Well, I should say good luck! When the body is starving, it will start to use the fats and muscles for the bodies energy because it feels that you don't have enough food to support the bodies proper functioning. So, what will happen to your body? The body's rate of metabolism calorie/fat burning process begins to slow down, thus allow you to gain weight. So if you have been starving all this time and wondering why still it has not worked, change that strategy. Instead, have a small frequent diet. But make sure that this food contains the necessary nutrients needed such as protein, fats and carbohydrates.


Do you eat less amount of food and then starve yourself? After that doing lots of exercises and then you have lost 10 pounds? You know what really happens? You have lost 2 pounds of fat and 8 pounds of muscle! And you know what it means? It is not normal. Losing large amount of muscles will make the metabolism slower thus, burns fewer calories. Just do the moderate ones and increase duration and intensity as long as you can bear it.

How long until I see results of my workouts?
I am only on my first week of my new lifestyle but I am enjoying it so I will stick with it. I am jogging for 20 mins (working my way up to longer) Mon-Fri mornings and I really push myself when I go out. Sometimes I have to stop just for a few seconds to get my breath back but usually I can keep going and I will sometimes incorporate a little bit of interval training in too.Before my jog I do stuff like lunges, squats, overhead presses (without real weights atm), dips, bicep curls, dead lifts, calf raises etc etc. I do 2 sets of 10 at the moment and that is pushing hard for me (I know I'm unfit) I am also doing a 12 minute BodyRock workout every day which are really intense but really fun and I am always huffing and puffing by the end of them. http://www.bodyrock.tv/ I just ordered a set of 15kg dumbells with removable weights which should arrive sometime next week so I will start doing some weight training too. I can't afford the gym which is why I'm doing it all at home. I am female and I weigh 154lbs. I am 5ft 11inche tall. I don't really want to lose any weight but I just really want to get fitter and lose fat across my stomach and legs etc and tone up my arms and legs and pretty much all over. Oh, I am also doing an hour and a half yoga workout on Sat and Sun. I am eating a healthy and balanced diet too. Thanks for any input :)

What is the best way to lose fat and get toned by summer?
How can I get a lean (as in fat free) and toned body by summer? I know it will take a some hard work cause I am not super skinny... but I want this really bad and any ideas would be wonderful!
