is a 1200 cal. diet really that unhealthy?
My Dr. said I need to lose 170 lbs and put me on a 1200 calorie diet...but my bf says she is a moron for putting someone on this diet and told me that I would be an idiot to follow my drs. advice. He says (according to his nutritionist) a woman should be eating 2000 a day and a man should have 2600-3000 per day. I am starting a gym membership next week for 3-4 days a week. The Dr. told me that my exercising plus the 1200 calorie diet would help me lose weight quicker and healthier because I am at severe risk for diabetes.

Question about eating small portions throughout the day to lose weight..?
Here are my work hours: either 10:30 am to 7 pm or 5:30 am to 2 pm. How could I eat small portions throught the day while working? I'm a vegetarian.
