Loosing excess weight is essential for a healthy life. Being overweight or obese puts a restriction on many activities a person may simply love to indulge in. Maybe it's a favorite sport or maybe fitting into your dream dress but the overweight problem is a kill joy! Do you think that I will get loose skin after weight loss? *ONLY ANSWER IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT*?
Right now I weigh 248lbs (I was 258lbs at my highest). My goal is to get down to 170lbs at a loss rate of 8-10lbs per month. My plan is as follows: 1500 calories a day (except on my cheat day which is every Sunday, but I may lower it to ever second Sunday eventually), 8+ glasses of water a day, at least 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, and some strength training 3 times a week (this includes an 8 minute abs routine, some arm exercises and some lower body exercises). Last year I lost 20lbs on this plan but eventually just gave up and gained it all back.
Anyhow, I am 20 years old. Though I am obese right now, I will say that I seem to carry my weight well. Of course I'm not solid or toned, but my weight is well distributed and I am not a cascade of rolls or anything. Actually, my legs still do have definition, but it's my tummy that worries me. Right now I have "pouch" on my lower tummy that I never had before and I am scared that it will stay even after weight loss. Will I get loose skin? BTW- I do have a ton of stretch marks.
Here are a few photos of me now:

Here are a few photos of me at my goal weight of 170lbs (I was 17)

As you can see I was never a small girl even at my thinnest. My build is naturally on the huskier side and that's fine. I was content with how I looked back then, my waist size was a healthy one and I was able to be physically active without breathing heavy after 5 minutes.
Do you guys think I will left with tons of grotesque loose skin? I'm worried that my weight loss will just result in that, which kind of discourages me from even losing weight. HELP! And no mean comments please.

I'm 14 and desperately want to lose weight. Help?
I'm a 14 year old girl, who wants to lose weight. Well, I'm not trying to get to a certain goal; I just want to be healthier. Right now, I'm about 5"7, and I weigh 146 pounds.
I'm not "over-weight" or "obese", but I am not as thin or as healthy as I wish to be. I don't have a flat stomach (actually, I have three rolls, LOL) and I would love to have a flat belly.
The big problem is, my family doesn't buy healthy food. I begged my mom to buy healthy foods, and stop buying chips (just because I knew I would binge and eat them) and she got mad at me; she bought me some mushrooms and fruit, but still kept buying fatty and unhealthy foods, and continued to make unhealthy dinners and wouldn't let me cook anything else. This is really the hardest part.
Also, I'm not good at exercising much; I lose motivation, and stop running on the treadmill, or my parents prohibit me going on it a lot, which annoys me. I can't go running outside, because it's like -40 degrees celcius out there...yikes.
Got any ideas for a (healthy) diet I can easily follow, or any tips on easy to follow exercises? Thanks a lot!
