Has anyone had or currently have a heel spur?
I am a fitness walker and recently developed a very painful heel spur. I have tried many types of foot braces and Ben Gay type creams but it is not getting better, called my Dr. and she said to rest it for 2 weeks, which I can't do, since I am walking for weight loss(20lbs) and getting in shape for an upcoming vacation which will require alot of walking. I have been a "walker" for over 2 years now and I don't know why this came up, i did no injury to it. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe there is a cortisone or steroid shot that can be injected directly to alleviate the symptoms??

Bicyle riding and walking for weight loss?
Well I am 125 lbs and 5'3. I am about normal, just a bit pudgy in the stomach, you know? I eat well, but just don't know how to add exercise to my everyday schedule. Now, I am planning on biking for 4.5 miles and walking for 45 minutes, swiching off every other day.
Do you think this will work? If not, could you tell me an exercise plan, or exercises that are better.
Should I do them for longer? Or something..?
