How can I tell if the weight I am gaining is fat or muscle?
I just started playing soccer again four weeks ago after approximately six months. I am 5'3 and 15. During the months I was off I weighed about 104lbs. This last week of training has been really intense and I can feel that I have most defiantly gained muscle. My core, thighs,and calves are tighter and way more toned than I think I've ever had them. I weigh 110lbs now though, and am the same height unfortunately (always a shorty). I am worried that I am gaining more fat instead of muscle because my pants have been tighter on me these last 2 weeks than they used to be. I wear a size one by the way. Is this normal? If not what can I do to fix it?
P.S. I've heard that not getting enough sleep can cause weight gain and I get very little sleep during indoor soccer season (what I'm in now) because my games are early and practices late. Could this be a possibility???

I'm a hardgainer. What should I do?
Im 18 years old, 5'11", and weighs 56 kg (123.5 lbs). I'm a bit overwhelmed by the infos I get around the web about weight gaining.
I'm currently a college student and my schedule is a bit tight so I cant follow meal plans for hard gainers. Also, I have a little-to-no exercise. I'm fine with gaining just fat, I just need to not look skinny.
So, what food should I eat, and what food can I easily get and or bring to school-- because I just cant go out and eat big meals whenever I'm hungry cause I have classes for like the whole day? Also, how long would it take to gain weight, just to know if I'm doing it properly?
