Weight Management - 7 Great Tips to Help You Lose Weight
So you've decided that you want to lose weight and get in shape. Now you need to structure a program that will help you lose the weight while toning your muscle. Easy said, however often we all have some questions that need to be answered before we begin our weight management journey. This article will answer your weight loss questions and give you a range of weight management tools to lose weight.
Weight Management Tip 1.
Clarity is the key. Define your weight loss goals
The key to achieving any goal is to define what it is that you want to achieve. Weight loss goals are no different. Your weight management journey begins when you define your weight loss goals. How much weight do you want to lose? What time frame? Why do you want to lose the weight? Once your goals are defined the next step is to take immediate action.
Weight Management tip 2.
Speak to your doctor
If you haven't been exercising for a long period of time, you first need to speak to your doctor and have a check up. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Weight Management tip 3.
Establish a support system
People have a much higher rate of weight loss success when they have support. There have been many studies to confirm this. Try exercising with a friend, colleague or family member. Let this person know your goals! This will keep you accountable.
Weight Management tip 4.
Mix it up!
Change your routines often. I recommend to my clients that they change their program every eight weeks to keep it fresh and help them stay motivated. I would particularly recommend this with a weights routine as your muscles get use to your work out after two months. You will get optimal benefit if you mix it up.
Weight management tip 5.
Buy something new
Try buying yourself a new pair of shoes, pedometer, exercise book or an mp3 player. Something like this can be very motivating to get started on your weight management journey.
Weight management tip 6.
Don't beat up on yourself
Remember that your weight management journey is long term and if you miss a work out there is no need to beat up on yourself. Make the decision to get back on track.
Weight management tip 7.
Reward yourself
If you stick to your weight loss program then it's time to reward yourself. Go buy yourself a new piece of clothing or a gift to show appreciation to yourself for your hard work. You deserve it!

Which is better for successful weight management?
I'm more of a one big meal a day then three normal meals...what would be better for permanent weight management? I'm trying to start young (I'm 14) so that these habits will be second nature. So...portion control, moderately healthy foods, jogging.....or......one big meal (which lasts me all day usually), healthyish foods, and jogging. I'm leaning more towards the portion control one...but that's so hard for me...help me out here? Thanks so much:)

What would be the best diet direction for me to go?
I'm a 23 year old male, 6'1 330 pounds. I'm not looking for a quick fix diet or anything, I'm just looking for sort of a nutrition outline to get myself started on the right track. It's my current eating habits that are mostly keeping me from losing any weight. How many calories I should take in every day? Any specific foods that are good for weight management/appetite control? Any info would be great.
As far as exercise goes I walk my dog every day, lift weights, do those rock climber exercises or whatever they're called, where you're in a push up position and bring your legs to your midsection.
If anyone has any experiences of things that worked for them, if anyone has any expertise of this kind of stuff, you would be a great help to me. Thanks!
